Makalu Trek

Utterly marvelous, still very untouched and an irregular trekking area of Makalu region is very close to the Everest region. Because of Arun River, it is known as Arun Valley too. The Arun Valley is an unimaginable area and it is famous for both the culture and nature.This area is a naturalist's paradise and it is teeming with many precious plants, animalsand Mt. Makalu (8475m.) birds and is a significant part of the Himalayan environment and ecosystem.

People living in this remote place depend on cattle herds, farming and small - time trade. The number of population is 32000. Various castes and ethnic groups from this population, they are: Sherpa in the higher elevation, Gurung, Tamang, Magar, Newar, Brahmins, Chhetris and the others in the rest, The tour to those places have many attractions because of the cultural reasons too.

TREKKING ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu Airport
Arrival in Kathmandu Airport and then transfer to the Hotel. You will have a nice clean room with attached bathroom and 24 hrs running hot water.

Day 02:Kathmandu Sightseeing
The following morning of arrival you will be taken on Sightseeing tour of the many holy temples and interesting surrounding sights of Kathmandu to show its back ground and history.

Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar and trek to Khandbari. Overnight in camp.
Day 04: Trek Khandbari to Fururu.
Day 05: Trek Fururu to Num.
Day 06: Trek Num to Sinduwa.
Day 07: Trek Sinduwa to Tashigaon.
Day 08: Trek Tashigaon to Kauma
Day 09: Trek Kauma to Mumbuk
Day 10: Trek Mumbuk to Neh Kharka.
Day 11: Trek Neh Kharka to Serson.
Day 12: Trek Serson to Makalu Base Camp.
Day 13: Rest day in Makalu B.C. Explore the Base Camp areas.
Day 14: Base Camp to Neh Kharka.
Day 15: Trek Neh Kharka to Mum buk
Day 16: Trek Mumbuk to Kauma.
Day 17: Trek Kauma to Tashigaon.
Day 18: Trek Tashigaon to Balung.
Day 19: Trek Balung to Phukuwa.
Day 20: Trek Phukuwa to Bumling.
Day 21: Trek Bumling to Tunlingtar
Day 22: Fly Tumlingtar to Biratnagar and then to Kathmandu. Transfer to your hotel.
Day 23: Rest day Join the farewell dinner in the evening most probably with cultural program.
Day 24: Transfer to the airport for Departure.
